i found this game on youtube and it looks pretty nifty, but there's just two tiny obstacles getting in the way of my enjoyment:

1) the screen sizes go 1x, 2x, 3x, fullscreen. for someone with a 4K monitor (not by choice) like me, that means having to choose between "unplayably tiny" and "annoyingly huge". maybe the game should check the largest possible non-fullscreen size that can fit in the current monitor? i know that's possible in gamemaker, and it'd also solve the issue of the game starting at 1x by default and making you navigate a tiny screen to the options menu
2) the screenshake is too harsh. this is something accentuated by me having to play in fullscreen too, so it's possible solving that issue solves this one too. even then, if there was an option to reduce or remove screenshake it would be excellent, especially for motion-sick folks

i really enjoy the mechanics and presentation, but with these two spokes in my proverbial wheels, i didn't get too far from the tutorial. hoping these get resolved so i can give this a second try, cuz i really really want to!

those are some great notes! I'll see what I can do :) maybe being able to resize the window would help? i really didn't plan for this to be played in something bigger than a tv screen (which is what I have to use lol)
